Cold, Very Cold

Hello, F.O.T.E.'s,
You know, I use this blog not only to tell friends and family some of the goings-on at The Fold, but also to kind of journal the mundane so that our descendants can look back and know a bit of what it was like "back then." That's why I'm telling you,

"It's cold!" Tonight, the low is supposed to be 1 degree with a windchill of -12 (stop laughing, SRF!) I looked out of the window today and realized that I don't remember when the snow that is on the ground, fell. It's been there so long, I just don't remember. Freaky. Kinda like the grass down South in the summer--"When did it grow there?" "Dunno...been there a long time."
Boy...sure is a good thing I like winter. :-) LOL
Y'all keep your wool dry, er...warm,

If we went back to Alaska, it would be in the summer!! I can remember it being -65 one winter. You bake a lot when it is that cold. LOL

I'm telling you though, if you go for a winter you *have* to stay for the summer...nothing better!!

Stay warm...it was in the single digits here this morning with a 0 windchill.

Hey Sherral--
I'll tell ya...I tip my hat to you Alaska folks (or former Alaska folks). It's now noon here, and 7 degrees w/ a -2 wind chill. -65...UGH! :-) Summer sounds terrific, though. HUGS!

LOL, Sherral, I owe my existence to Alaska... I guess my folks lived up in Fairbanks, and it was the "dark" season, and well, my mother never was much of a baker... :) :) :) LOL!

Ewe darling, come visit me! All I have is on and off rain, but at least it's still around 50 most days! (we get snuggly at night, because lately it's been dipping down into the 30's... what nerve! :) )

The worst temps I ever had to put up with were in Bloomington, Indiana... it was -35 one week! I nearly quit my job rather than go out in that! Fortunately, they let me work from home, or it would have been their loss. ;) Ahhhh, University Life! :)

Love and hugs and blessings to you all!
